INSTRUCTIONS:

  1. Add each of the ingredients to the bread machine (adding the yeast last) and set on the dough cycle. If you don't have a bread machine you can mix the ingredients by hand and then knead the dough continuously until you have a firm ball. Then cover and let rest for about an hour - 1.5 hours.

  2. Take a rectangle metal cake dish and lightly spray it with baker's spray.

  3. Remove the dough and use a bread scraper or a knife to cut your dough into equal size pieces. (I usually make 16 large buns).

  4. Next, take each piece of dough and pinch and fold it over on itself to gently knead them, and then put the balls equally spaced in the pan.

  5. Use a basting brush to lightly baste the rolls in milk and then cover the pan with plastic wrap to keep it air tight. Let rise for about 1.5 hours.

  6. Preheat the Oven to 375°

  7. Uncover risen rolls and gently baste with melted butter and sprinkle some salt over top.

  8. Cook for 17-23 minutes until golden brown.

  9. Melt 2-3 extra tbsp of butter and add a squeeze of honey and mix. Baste over top of the finished rolls for extra delicious flavor before serving!

How to Store and Preserve left over Honey Butter Bread Rolls

First you need to let your rolls cool completely on a cooling rack. Be sure to always remove the rolls from the pan immediately after baking to prevent moisture buildup (that causes sogginess). Once cooled, place the rolls in an airtight container, and label with the date. When ready to enjoy, reheat them in an oven or toaster oven to restore their soft and delightful texture.
